2007 Mauro Veglio Dolcetto D'Alba

Color: ruby

Nose: cranberry, red cherry, milk chocolate, vanilla, hints of cabbage & Earth.

Palate: upfront high acidity albeit light body & silky tannin framed this elegant wine. After about 30 seconds, initial bright cherry & licorice turned into brioche, milk chocolate and Earth.

Alcohol: 13.5%

Food Pairing: gnocchi in meat sauce, chicken parm, turkey breast w/ cranberry sauce & stuffing.

Verdict: A wine w/ finesse. Definitely getting a case while my Grand Cru Burgundies age.
